What is designintro?
Designintro works with designers and artists to help them sell their work to the public. Customers can browse our site, select their products and place an order through our secure checkout. Shoppers enjoy the benefit of having designintro behind their purchase so if there are any problems designintro will resolve them and make a full refund if the sale is not completed satisfactorily. So shoppers have all the exclusivity of buying work by independent designers and all the benefits and security of dealing with an established company.

What sort of work does designintro accept?
Your work must be original, your own design and produced to a retail quality

What if you don't accept my work?
We will give you positive feedback as to how you need to improve your work, or the presentation of your work to help you ensure future work is acceptable

How do I join?

How will shoppers find my products on designintro?
Shoppers will either go to the Products section of the site and browse the categories of their choice or, if they know the designer you are looking for, go to the A-Z designer's section. Alternatively if they are looking for a particular item they can type the appropriate keywords (e.g. 'vase') in the search box and browse the results. So it is important that you put your products in the right category on designintro. It's also important you include the right keywords in your description (i.e. if you are selling a tall ceramic vase, describe it as a tall ceramic vase - that way the 'search' will find your product)

Will my work get fair exposure?
Yes! Every new product gets automatically added to the home page 'slideshow'. All products are added to the Products section and its various Sections and are displayed in random order with a reshuffle every hour.
'Featured designers' on the home page are the most recent three designers to sign up and publish their profile.
At present home page 'Featured products' are based on stock levels. The more stock the higher up the list. But this method of featuring products will change regularly - next time round it may be alphabetical or by date of birth of designer for example. So everyone gets a chance.

Can I sell my work elsewhere?
Yes. That is the beauty of designintro - you can still sell your work direct if you wish or place it in a High Street gallery. If it sells that way then just remember to remove that product from your designintro members area - it has cost you nothing and given you and your work great exposure to thousands of designintro visitors.
